Player Profile


A new player profile each week, to start off with the young hammer himself Mark Noble.

Mark James Noble was born on May 8th 1987 in Canning Town, London. A lifelong West Ham fan joined the club as a schoolboy and made his reserve league debut at the age of 15. He made his first team debut at the age of 17 in a 2-0 away win at Southend in August 2004. His league debut was at Wolves in January 2005. In that season he went on to win the young player of the year. He has been on loan to two clubs Hull, then Ipswich where he made 13 apps and got his first profesional goal on September 16th 2006. His first goal for the irons came in a 3-0 F.A Cup victory over Brighton. 2 months later he went on and scored his first Premier League Goal in a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Spurs, at the start of the 'Great Escape' and also where Carlos Tevez also got his first Premiership goal. Mark's international carrer has been good aswell he captained the U-18 team, and has also played in the U-19 Euro Championship Final and the U-21 Euro Semi-Final. His first International goal came in a 2-0 victory over Bulgaria on 11th September 2007.

Mark has now established himself a regular at West Ham in the centre Midfield role and has become a fan favourite as he is a local lad. He is currently wearing the number 16 shirt and is now 21 years of age.
