Harry Redknapp has been unveiled as the new Tottenham manager. The West Ham legend as now gone to are biggest rivals. Why?
Harry became the manager today as Spurs confirmed there sacking of Jaunde Ramos last night. Why couldnt he stay there he was doing amazing. Harry said it was difficult to leave Portsmouth but he felt the time was right. He told BBC Radio Five Live Sportsweek programme: "I suddenly got a phone call and was told Tottenham were interested in me, and I thought it was a wind-up at first."
"Then when I had spoken to them, I decided it was a good move for everybody, for Portsmouth as well in the long term and they have a terrific compensation deal when things were a bit tight."
"I just thought maybe it was time to move on and Tottenham are a big, big club."
"I thought 'let's just give it a go before it is too late."
Harry who did such a good job at Pompey guiding them to F.A Cup glory last year booking a place in the UEFA Cup surprised everyone at leaving Pompey for Tottenham but he says Tottenham are a bigger club and it will be a differant challenge. Spurs are lying bottom of the Premiership in 20th place to all West Ham fans happiness.
